Transport Operations Manager

My client based in Thame is looking for an experience Transport Operations Manager to oversee daily transport and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent knowledge of vehicle routing and have a hands on approach to managing fleet and driver performance. Key responsibilities include, manage and optimise daily vehicle routing and scheduling. Ensure compliance with all transport regulations and legal requirements, Supervise and support the transport team, including drivers and warehouse staff. Monitor fleet performance, maintenance and cost efficiency. Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times. Requirements valid transport manager CPC, HGV Licence, Forklift licence, proven experience in a supervisory or management role within transport/logistics. Have strong organisational and problem solving skills, knowledge of route planning and transport compliance. Working hours are Monday - Friday 45 hours per week 08.00 - 18.00 (hours may vary depending on routing requirements) Salary 30-36K depending on experience.
