Assistant Buyer

My prominent client based in Oxfordshire has an opening for an Assistant Buyer to join their friendly and supportive team. This amazing opportunity will be ideal for someone with a background in purchasing/buying who is looking for career progression within a highly successful online and mail order retailer. Reporting to the Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing a range of products relevant to the brand, negotiating cost prices and terms, and gaining in-depth knowledge of competitors. You will need to have strong numeracy skills, be commercial yet creative and have an ability to work efficiently under pressure. This is an extremely busy position, but very rewarding with the company having a strong emphasis on collaborative team work. They offer a competitive salary of up to 30k per year, with hybrid working available, with the exception of product selection months. Due to the location, a drivers licence is essential.
